Peace in Balochistan... Only Possible through Functional Municipal System

Spokesperson Balochistan Govt.

On May 18, 2022, Farah Azeem Shah, the representative of the provincial government in Balochistan, during a press conference in Quetta, revealed the arrest of Noor Jahan, a woman belonging to the Majid Brigade of the terrorist group Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), from Turbat. The woman was said to have intended to carry out the blast as a suicide bomber. A suicide jacket, six grenades, and 87kg of explosives were also recovered from Noor Jahan's house at the time of her arrest. According to the information received from Noor Jahan during interrogation, the widow of Majeed Brigade Commander Aslam Baloch alias Achho (killed in an explosion carried out by unknown persons at a safe place provided by Indian intelligence and RAW in the red zone in Kandahar). Yasmeen lures Baloch women into suicide bombers.

During the interrogation, Noor Jahan also mentioned the names of three Baloch women who are prepared for suicide bombings after receiving terrorism training. Earlier, on April 26, 2022, Sherry Baloch, a highly educated woman, attacked the van of Chinese teachers teaching at the Confucius Institute set up by China to teach the Chinese language at Karachi University. Noor Jahan's arrest following the killing of three Chinese teachers, including a Pakistani driver, indicates that foreign forces, especially the Indian intelligence agency, have long been toying with Pakistan's security. RAW has changed its strategy regarding terrorism in Balochistan. The use of women as suicide bombers could cause problems for Pakistan in the days to come. Of course, the Pakistan Army and those in charge of security are fully capable of thwarting this new strategy of the enemy and are also working to prevent it, but for its permanent solution not only in Balochistan but in the whole country besides political stability. It is also important to establish an integrated judicial system that has the capacity and capability to bring arrested terrorists to justice.

Arrested terrorist Noor Jahan was released on bail by an anti-terrorism court in Balochistan on May 24, 2022. The release came as hundreds of Baloch men and women staged a sit-in to block the main highway in Turbat out of fear of the banned Baloch Liberation Army. Of course, the flaws in the challan filed by CTD against Noor Jahan may have been the reason for Noor Jahan's bail, but the revelations made by Noor Jahan and the terror that has emerged in Balochistan over the last few months. Given the new wave of terrorism, Noor Jahan's release would not have been so easy. Outgoing slips are also reported. They also used threatening leaflets to protest and strike against Pakistan. Will not be bullied. Yet there are also many vulnerable ordinary Baloch merchants who feel helpless in the face of the big bosses because of the absence of their elected representatives at the grassroots level who are trying to protect these lower weaker sections under the guise of protecting them from terrorists. Elections are used for their political interests and then completely forgotten. Now holding local body elections in Balochistan is welcome in the sense that the presence of public representatives at the grassroots level on the one hand the confidence of Baloch youth in Pakistan and its importance At the same time, it will weaken the system of patrons protecting the Baloch Liberation Army, who on the one hand enjoys the power and, on the other hand, remain in touch with enemy forces. The participation of the people of Balochistan in the local government system will also end their sense of deprivation which the Baloch separatists are trying to create suspicion against Pakistan in their hearts and minds.

The process of local body elections in 32 districts of Balochistan has brought a new ray of hope to the people living in the backward areas. This act is also a message for these elements. In this regard, the participation of 132 women in the general elections for the general seats is a historical moment that is being lightened by the anti-national elements by saying that out of 4,456 wards, only 132 women are contesting the general seats of Baloch women. Negative propagandists should keep in mind that such a large number of women have never before in the history of the country allowed to participate in direct elections to the National and Provincial Assemblies. Disappointingly, the same elements that left Sherry Baloch crying at the Karachi University, leaving her two innocent children crying and dying in an explosion, calling it a great victory for the Baloch separatists and forgetting that the Baloch used their women in wars. Surprisingly, most of the women who participated in the direct elections to the general seats in the local body elections are from Kohlu, Ketch, Sibi, Pishin, Kharan, Washik, and Burk.
