General Pervaiz Musharaf receiving PM Pakistan as Chief of Army

Public was hoping that after dark night of 5 long years a new dawn will appear; all the difficulties that were inflicted upon them in the name of DEMOCRACY would be remedied. This hope made public to take part in the electoral process but when the results of elections were announced they realized that all of their hopes have been stolen and party playing the role of friendly opposition from last five years has succeeded with a heavy mandate. Public hoped that long absence of PML-N from power would have made it aware of problems being faced by public and would utilize the mandate to redress the problems of the masses.

                In contrast to all these hopes newly elected govt. imposed tax on everything except breathing in such that a way that life has become nothing more than a punishment. On the one hand there is inflation, unemployment, terrorism, adulteration of goods on the other hand the utility bills of electricity and gas in spite of load-shedding; moreover as  a planning for the upcoming holy month of Ramadan blackmarketers and hoarders have increased the prices of the necessities. This was the duty of the newly elected govt. to resolve the problems of public and provide them relief but in spite of fulfilling their duties as elected representatives of public they are wasting all their energies to take their personal revenge. Their focus is only upon getting ex-Chief of Army Pervaiz Musharaf declared as traitor and punished from court; without ever considering that there is a big difference between a Chief of Army (even if he has been retired) and a leader of a political party. In Pakistan the loyalty towards party leader is not based upon ideologies, sect, and motto, service towards public or principles but on the basis of personal interests. While in the army from soldier to General the Chief of Army is like a pillar supporting the building over it and if this pillar gets weak or falls down whole building would fall down as well and our rulers are leaving no stone unturned to get ex-Chief of Army declared as Traitor.

                Leaving aside modern era even in pre-medieval times the success, bravery and valor of army was conditioned with the safety of the Commander and this was the reason that Commander of the army had been always the target of the enemy. As soon as the commander fell from the horse after getting hurt or murdered; the army that had been considered undefeatable before his death would lose hope and courage because they considered death of their commander as their defeat; this is known as Morale now a days. This is why it is said that in the battle field soldier does not fight with weapons he has but with the morale. Those analysts, anchor persons targeting Army over TV Channels in their talkshows or politicians succeeding on the basis of their money, power who consider army as a threat to their corrupt rule will never understand and give importance to morale. This is why in spite of being inevitable for integrity and stability of nation armed forces have always been unacceptable for a specific group of journalists and politicians. Murder of Akbar Bugti, Laal Masjid Operation, arrest of Judges or Emergency of 23 November 2007 are just lame excuses; there are only two reasons behind trial of Musharraf 1) the overthrow of Nawaz govt. in 1999 by army and 2) exploiting the opportunity to defame Pakistan army (which has been always dream or plan of India). According to recent survey majority of Pakistani public thinks that actual reason behind the trial of the Musharraf is the revenge of present govt. because if the real purpose behind this trial is to punish dictators than this should start from the first dictator not General Musharaf only should be selected. Public have concerns regarding role of higher courts as well because justice is not expected as due to lack of evidence against Musharaf regarding house arrest of Judges his bail has been approved. On the other hand respected Judges are not ready to start trial against General Musharaf from 1999 because they have themselves certified acts of General Musharaf in the favor of national interest.

                Moreover, except few lawyers active for freedom of judiciary and lawyers attached with Nawaz Sharif other notable lawyers are agreed that there is not a single allegation or case against Musharaf for which he might be punished. Than what is the purpose of these fruitless trials against except Musharaf to disrespect him so that army could be defamed and morale of armed forces could be devastated. Yes armed forces are the target! Those armed forces that not sacrifice lives during war but during natural disasters as well.

                As long as the allegation against Musharaf for imposing emergency is concerned those lawyers following trial against him and politicians expressing happiness over progress in this trial should not forget the past; on 21 April 1977 self-proclaimed Proud of Asia and only Civil Martial Administrator of the world’s history Mr. Zulifqar Ali Bhutto imposed emergency and three major cities of Pakistan were handed over to armed forces and ordered army to crush the public under tanks. They should also remember the emergency imposed by Indira Gandhi on 23 July 1975; was Indira Gandhi declared traitor after that?

                The purpose behind this post is not to support dictatorship or oppose democracy but we should not forget bitter ground realities as well that force armed force to take over the govt. and people disburse sweets regarding dictators as saviors. If our politicians want to stop the way of dictators, this could not be done by punishing Musharaf but they will have to change themselves. The recent headline of newspapers in which Supreme Court had to address politicians, “For God sake save national treasury from misappropriation; members of assembly are elected for legislation not for corruption”.

                Those supporting the trial against ex-Chief of Army should must keep this in mind that for a soldier there is nothing more disgusting that his Commander is regarded as traitor or is involved in treason because according to a soldier treason means under hand deal with enemy. This had not been done by any General in the history of Pakistan however one may find names of many notables from politicians. Anyhow our rulers fond of mummified lions should not forget that at that time Pakistan army and public both are in the condition of war; our army is fighting against external forces in the form of terrorism to safeguard motherland while our public is fighting against inflation to make both ends meet but our elite are not concerned for these wars…

On 14 June 2013 during his address to US Policy Committee, member of Congress Peter King threatened Pakistan that if US or US interests are attacked from Pakistan; Pakistan will have to pay its price. According to Peter King of US Congress Pakistan is a safe heaven for many Jihadi organizations like Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) etc and they are continuing their activities without any difficulty. Member of US Congress especially targeted LeT alleging it for working against US interests in the region including the training to attack US interests. Peter King also threatened Pakistan to check the activities of Hafiz Saeed of Jamaat-ud-Dawat (because he dares to unveil the heinous role of US state terrorists agencies like CIA and Black Water in terrorism in Pakistan) or get ready for US punishment (state terrorism).

                Now lets come towards the situation of Pakistan; on the next day of threats by the US a memorial building i.e. Residency of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah is blazed on 15 June 2013 and flag of BLA (terrorist organization; a product of US and Indian intercourse) is hoisted on the burnt building. Whole nation was still in shock on the destruction of national asset by terrorists destroying many historical things used by Founder of Pakistan that news break out on the media that Student Bus of Sardar Bahadur Khan Women University had been blown up by terrorists in which 14 female students lost their lives while 19 are injured. Reporting and media of coverage of this terrorist attack was going on that another report of attack over Bolan Medical Complex is received. This forces Pakistani nation to think that who are these brutish terrorists murdering men, women, innocent children and even patients?

                On the evening of same fateful day Mr Hamid Mir, (awarded by Bangladesh for anti-Pakistan services of his father and himself) tells us that Pakistan Forces are behind all the three incidents of terrorism; while another traitor present in the talkshow blames those elements that have ran away from Afghanistan after US attack which have the support and protection of state agencies. In the other words this talkshow blames Security Agencies for the plan of this attack (without any evidence or logic) in order to cover up the real terrorists. So in the no time whole private Pakistani media was speaking the language of their funders; such media channels and their hired anchorpersons (prostitutes of journalism) forget that since 2008 these are the elected politicians under the West’s favorite ‘Democratic System’ who have been controlling the country not the armed forces of Pakistan. However; these sold out media persons leave no stone unturned to deceive or convince masses of Pakistan so that they are not capable to identify the real terrorists and foreign hands behind them.

                Pay attention towards this; is that mere coincident that since March 2009 attack over Sri-Lankan Cricket team in Lahore to 15 June 2013 terrorist attack before every terrorist attack some US think tanks along with members of Senate issue threatening statements and articles against Pakistan? Before every terrorist attack India starts propaganda against Pakistan for terrorist attacks and terrorism in India. If you do not believe us look at the newspapers since 2009 to up to date. Moreover, from terrorist attack on Sri-Lankan cricket team to all major terrorist attacks there is a similiarity; from planning to execution all of these attacks are similar to 26 November 2008 Mumbai attacks as all these terrorists and their bosses were trained in the same training camp. Before writing anything about investors, perpetrators and supporter of terrorism as well as planners I would like to lend your attention towards another aspect so that one may easily understand terrorism in Pakistan. Few days ago a famous US scholar Stefen Kohhen said during the introduction of his ceremony that US should pressurize Pakistan to accept Indian role in Afghanistan for restoration of peace after US retreat in 2014 and for this it is necessary that Pakistan accepts LoC as permanent boundary because this is the base of India-Pakistan enmity (but who will guide that US writer that Indian terrorism is not due to Kashmir dispute).

                Now on the one side there is the address of Peter King, member of US Congress and member of policy making committee of US State Department which was especially arranged to brief John Kerry for pressurizing Pakistan to dismantle Jihadi organizations and Jamaat-ud-Dawat and on the other hand we have the advise of Stefen Kohhen.

                Who has any doubt that LeT and Jamaat-ud-Dawat are limited to supporting freedom struggle of Kashmiris only and they have nothing to do with Afghanistan or US invasion in Afghanistan and US interests. However, India always LeT for the bomb blasts in India which afterwards proved that Senior Officials of Indian Army and Indian Agencies were behind these terrorist attacks. In spite of being aware of all these Indian terrorism US provided India free hand to use Afghanistan for training terrorists and waging a war against Pakistan in Baluchistan and KPK (NWFP). USA declared freedom movement of Kashmiris as terrorist movement in spite of support of UN resolutions while if we look at the past before 9/11 drama US supported Kashmir Freedom Movement.

                International community should also keep this in mind that US wants to handover Afghanistan after her retreat in 2014 while India is also willing to continue US invasion in Afghanistan. But India is afraid that Afghan Taliban or Mujahideen who have forced NATO and Americans to remain within their fortified camps and retreat might consider murdering of Indian soldiers (involved in massacre of Kashmiris) as something good. So are not the terrorist attacks in Pakistan, blazing of historical buildings etc. and murder of innocent female students a tactic to pressurize Pakistan? Otherwise even if we go back to uncivilized era there were some rules of war; according to civilized culture hospitals, schools, places worship and public places are not to be attacked during war but what one can do in case of India, Israel and West led by USA that whenever they wage war they attack schools, hospitals, places of worship etc. In the occupied Palestine, Israeli state terrorists repeat this everyday that ambulances carrying injured after Israeli are targeted, same is being done Indian in Indian Held Kashmir, USA attacked schools, universities, hospitals through air raids from Iraq to Libya and after invasion practiced such gross violations of human rights and war crimes that one feels ashamed to be identified as HUMAN BEING. However, when similar act was carried out by Taliban before US invasion in Afghanistan in the form of demolition of historical statues of Mahatma Buddha in Bamiyan province of Afghanistan whole world criticized them; (but does anyone has the courage to raise voice against United Satanic Alliance i.e. USA)?

                My anti-Two Nations Theory and pro-Indian, liberal, communist colleagues will as per routine dislike my struggle to unveil the real perpetrators of the terrorism in Baluchistan i.e. India the main player behind the terrorism with the full support of West especially USA and Israel. However, those objecting my findings have no solid or logical arguments in the support of those who attacked Quaid-e-Azam Residency, Female Students Bus and Bolan Medical Complex. If they say that Baloch deprived of their basic rights are taking revenge than are the people of other provinces getting their rights? Population of Baluchistan is 8.5 million only while according to a survey held one week ago revealed that more than 65 million people are living below the poverty line. If the whole population of Baluchistan is living below the poverty line than where are the rest of the people living on Mars? In Sindh, Punjab or KPK (NWFP) people are enjoying latest modern facilities? There are countless regions in these provinces where people are deprived of basic rights. Does this mean that people start taking revenge of their deprivation by burning historical buildings of their leaders and founding fathers? Saying that relatives of missing persons have taken revenge; if this is truth than why including Ziarat whole Baluchistan is drowned in the sorrow and protesting against terrorists of BLA? Moreover, disgracing father and mutilating mother in mutual disputes is not allowed in Baloch traditions. I would like to ask those pro-Indians frowning over role of Indian terrorists in Baluchistan that in 1948 when Abdul Karim Khan brother of Khan of Kalat Mir Ahmad Yar started treachery against Pakistan and armed forces of Pakistan, was not he supported by India???

Private Electric Generation Companies or IPPs are present in most of the countries but one may hardly find an example of the darkness in the name of providing LIGHT as it prevails in Pakistan. Even the most poor countries does not allow IPPs to enter into their countries if they have rivers and even if they purchase electricity from these Private companies they fix prices as per international rules. Most of the intellectuals quote the example of Indian Punjab where farmers are provided free electricity or at nominal charges but no one will ever tell you that India is providing this electricity from her hydro power projects which costs less than one rupee per kilowatt. From these dams India has constructed a network of canals to Thar and Rajasthan. In Pakistan nation has been pledged to IPPs and they are so powerful that even Courts of Pakistan are powerless in case of these IPPs, because they are also part of Parliament.

                How Pakistani public was sold to IPPs that they cannot get rid of this parasite now; for this we will have to look back into the past that who decides our fate and what price our leaders and politicians have received for this. This was 1985 when govt. of Pakistan decided to bring forward the private sector by giving tax exemptions so that until Kala Bagh dam is constructed, the increasing demand for energy may be met. For this purpose Private Sector Development Fund was established. In the lieu of facilitation govt. decided to bear 30% of the total cost of the project. Tax exemption on the import of machinery was also announced. Keeping in view the such lucrative offer Xenel Company of Saudi Arabia and HSPE of UK expressed their interest. However on the wish of govt. of Pakistan both companies submitted a mutual application which was approved on 27 April 1988 and Letter of Intent was issued by govt. of Pakistan. A deal was made according to which for first 12 years govt. of Pakistan shall purchase electricity @ Rs 0.22/Kwh and after this for the next eleven years the price had to be 0.77/Kwh. According to the memorandum signed both companies had to start the project within 9 months and had to complete it within 4 years. In case of any delay these companies had to bear the increase in the cost of construction. Moreover, on completion of 23 years both companies had to hand over the machinery of the project to Water and Power Development Authority of Pakistan (WAPDA). In the other words this deal was according to the international rules.

 

Fuel Price Adjustment

                In August 1988, when so called elected govt. took over the control of the country both of the companies were ordered to stop the construction work because elected govt. was not ready to accept any deal made by dictator as this deal was against the interest of the public. Afterwards, elected govt. sold up the nation to the National Power Company of the UK making the public a fool. Xenel of KSA and HSPE of UK did not protest on the cancellation of the project by the new govt. or contacted court against this decision of govt. of Pakistan and transferred all of their rights if National Power Company silently.

                This was the first deal of the history of the world with a private company whose conditions were disclosed. The international privat power generation companies got shocked; they were astonished that whether Pakistani officials signing this deal were drunk or under some threat. But when the world came to know that neither Pakistani officials were nor under some threat because govt. of Pakistan was not running publicity campaign but claiming one of the biggest achievements of the democratic govt. now let’s come towards the new changed terms of condition of the deal.

                According to the deal of the 1988 the deal was for 23 years which was increased to 31 years. This term was also taken back that on completion of the project whole machinery would become property of Pakistan. This term was replaced by the new term that after 31 years WAPDA will have to pay the rent for this depreciated machinery forever. Second drastic change in the terms was that WAPDA will bear the cost of construction in full. Moreover, the construction was increased from 823 millions to 1600 million dollars. The price of electricity was changed from rupee to dollar with irrational increase. How much money Pakistani politicians and their officials have earned from this deal of Pakistani public it is incalculable. IMF was included in this deal as a guarantor so that in case of change of govt. new govt. cannot reject the deal. A lower level employee of IMF earned so much in the kick backs of this deal that he constructed a power plant in Pakistan named as Liberty Power. However IMF got aware of the corruption of their employee they dismissed him from services, he sold out his power plant to a Malaysian company and flew from Pakistan as well on change of govt. in Pakistan. New govt. tried to get rid of this deal of slavery but to no avail. However in the coming years following this deal many new deals were made with the private energy generation companies with somehow lenient terms. But in these deals interest of investors was given priority over interest of the Pakistani nation which benefitted not only international but big industrial groups as well.

 

Ex-MD PEPCO Engineer Tahir Bisharat Cheema

                The second blunder in the lieu of generation and distribution of electricity is that distribution system was separated from WAPDA and all affairs were handed over to MEPCO, LESCO, HESCO, JESCO etc; resultantly electricity theft was reinforced and state institutions also started avoiding payments of electricity bills. As a result their debt of electricity has increased so much that if they pay it they will get insolvent. If there were hurdles in the construction of Kala Bagh dam than small dams over Indus river should have been constructed to generate cheaper electricity. In addition to barrages electricity can be generated from flow of canal water. This was 1995-96 when Engineer Tahir Bisharat Cheema, X-EN MNT Multan Division WAPDA of that time prepared a plan to generate electricity from flow of annual canals by installing turbines at different points. This project could generate 600-800 megawatt electricity which can be supplied to farmers to run their water pumps for irrigation. Thus subsidy given to farmers on electricity amounting to millions could be saved. But here no one is concerned with the national interest. Elite of Pakistan are enjoying summers by installing generators over domestic connections of natural gas while poor are paying bills electricity alongwith surcharges in spite of shutdown of electricity. Another way to mint money has been also added by democratic govt. that is the Fuel Adjustment Charges which is beyond capable of being explained. Moreover, extra units burden of line losses and theft is also being shifted to consumer with the start of summer season. What public can do against this injustice? The only solution is the construction of Kala Bagh Dam. But our politicians cannot accept this as they are not ready to give up their usury; they cannot understand that defense of the motherland is dependent on strong economy which is being devastated by the costly electricity…

Drone Attacks! A Conspiracy to Cultivate Terrorism in Pakistan!

The Parents of these innocents are sure to join Extremists; A fuel needed by CIA 

USA wants to withdraw from Afghanistan till 2014. After withdrawal of US for a long time this discussion would continue that what America earned by attacking Afghanistan? After sometime this discussion would also become fruitless just like American attack over Afghanistan or the country which became target of US thirst for blood would be topic on media because this is going on since last half century. However, wherever US attacked, peace could not be restored for a long time. Same like situation is being experienced by our region since 2001, there is no hope for improvement even after withdrawal of US forces as they are leaving behind a legacy of US controlled terrorists i.e. TTP.

                In 2001 US attacked Afghanistan under lame excuse of 9/11, despite of being aware that no one of the pilots crashing aeroplanes with buildings in New York belonged to Afghan, Iraq or Libya. The experts of destroying buildings through dynamite claim that destruction of twin towers was an inside job. After this the Muslims were on the receiving end of Western terrorism, illegal capture of Israel over Palestinian areas and Palestine issue in UN was ignored. If 9/11 was inside job than its goals have been achieved.

 

A tool of CIA to create more TERRORISTS

                After NATO and US forces invasion in Afghanistan in the way they massacred Afghans one cannot find an example in the whole history of mankind. In spite of fastest media of the modern era American and European people were brain-washed about the 9/11 in such a way that they ignored humanity, human rights and human values because according to Western media the massacre and genocide of innocent Afghans was inevitable in order to secure that future of their upcoming generations. However, Afghans have not learnt to accept and bow in front of foreign rule and slavery. When they started resistance and freedom war; latest European weapons and weapons of mass destruction seemed to be ineffective making invading forces to retreat in the form of coffins. Western commanders were not ready for such type of shear resistance, so in order to secure their credibility and the budget they have been wasting on their forces they started blaming Pakistan for supporting Afghan Freedom Fighters. They started blaming US sponsored Mujahideen against Soviet Union who have now settled in tribal areas of Pakistan and got married there living a happy life.

 

Wali Ur Rehman; killed by a US Drone, A Clear message to US Sponsored TTP that if they don't  attack Pakistani forces they will be removed as well

                If we look at the news and analysis published in media during 2003 about Afghanistan there is only one repeated idea that Afghan attackers come from Pakistan and after attacking Western invaders return to Pakistani tribal areas. In order to tackle such allegations Pakistan moved its forces from Eastern borders to Afghan border and also offered to construct a barricade over Afghan border but this was rejected by Afghan govt. because in this way India would not have been able to infiltrate her terrorists via Afghanistan recruited by more than a dozen Indian consulates.

                However, in order to prolong her illegal capture of Afghanistan US started proxy war against Pakistan through drone attacks in tribal areas of Pakistan. America always told the lie following US history of foreign affairs that only terrorists are being targeted in these drone attacks but in fact most of the people killed in drone attacks were innocent. This seems that US drone attacks were a planned conspiracy to ignite hatred against Pakistan and Pakistani forces under umbrella of US sponsored war of terror. In this way US drone attacks ensured continuous supply of militants for terrorism as those whose innocent relatives were martyred in US drone attacks joined hands with US/foreign funded terrorists to take revenge; so a series of attacks over Pakistani forces started. The drone attack of 2004 over a religious school (madrissa) is a living example of US conspiracy in which innocent young students were killed by US aerial state terrorism; in spite of confessing the attack US claimed that at the time the missile was fired over the Madrissa terrorism were being trained which was proved to be based upon lies when international media visited the effected school. On such attacks the hatred among tribal people against US and Pakistani forces was natural response, thus they joined different terrorist groups sponsored by foreign agencies; according to some international analysts CIA was also sponsoring these attacks in order to fuel manpower for terrorism in Pakistan. In this way American state terrorist agency wanted to pressurize Pakistan army so that Pakistan remains away from Afghanistan where Afghan Mujahideen had once again started freedom movement against Western terrorist forces.

                However, there came a time when US had to accept to retreat from Afghanistan; in order to retreat honorably US had to negotiate with Afghan Taliban for ensuring safety of retreating troops. As these negotiations progressed the main points of US withdrawal also became prominent,  the drone attacks in Pakistan continued in spite of protest from Pakistani side (they are still going on). As US started negotiations with freedom fighter the demand for negotiation with militants also came from Pakistani as well, because in the war on terror which was started by US had taken lives of more than forty thousand innocent Pakistanis. Another feature of the drone attacks is that US never attacked on the terrorists that were identified by Pakistani forces.

 

Destruction created by US Aerial Terrorism

                Few months ago Tehreek Taliban Pakistan (TTP) offered negotiations with Pakistani govt. on some conditions; this offer gave a hope to the nation that this might help in eradication of terrorism as after success of PML-N in elections a significant progress was observed in negotiations but suddenly Vice Ameer of TTP Wali-ur-Rehman was murdered in the drone attack on 28 May. As a reaction TTP withdrew its offer for negotiations which will evidently result in increased terrorism in Pakistani as a gift of US aerial terrorism i.e. Drone Attacks. According to the reports Wali-ur-Rehman was against terrorist attacks in Pakistan due to this he had disputes with Hakeemullah Mehsood moreover the offer for negotiations was also from Wali-ur-Rehman. After his death newly elected govt will have to face extreme difficulties in restoration of peace. From the current situation it is evident that US and India (who will take over in Afghanistan after withdrawal of US forces) do not want that peace is restored in Pakistan which is too much dangerous. In other words before negotiations with TTP Pakistan will have to negotiate with USA that she should not sabotage peace negotiations.

                Although this is US stance that Wali-ur-Rehman was master-mind of Marriot Hotel Attacks in 2008 and attack over US Base in 2009 in which including one Jordanian agent total 7 CIA officials were killed. After this US declared money of 5 million dollars for Wali-ur-Rehman.

                US media has broke reports according to INP that in order to get these 5 million rupees Mehsood group of TTP had provided information regarding presence of Wali-ur-Rehman. Although US govt is not ready to disclose the name of the person who provided information of Wali-ur-Rehman but according to INP 5 million dollars have been paid. This shows severe disputes among TTP which might be a good news that terrorist groups in Pakistan are being disintegrated but this should be decided by Pakistani forces that when and which anti-Pakistan militant should be targeted not by USA to sabotage peace process in Pakistan. Pakistani forces are engaged over long strip of border with Afghanistan in which we have not only lost many lives but irreparable damage has been caused to our economy. Kala Bagh Dam is Inevitable for Integrity of Motherland..!

Although Pakistan is a Nuclear power but what forced Pakistan to attain nuclear capability? Of course it was inevitable for our defense as we are aware that India has aggressive plans against Pakistan and it is not possible to defend oneself with traditional from such a powerful enemy who also has nuclear weapons. This bitter reality was brought forward by Dr AQ Khan in one of his TV interviews on 1 June 2013 in which he said, “If Pakistan does not have nuclear weapons; Pakistan would have been disintegrated through Indian aggression 10 years ago”. Here 2^nd question arises if country is economically devastated, every person of the nation is pledged to the international financial institutions for loans, corruption, usury, black marketing, hoarding and such like evils have infiltrated into the nation, a country  where injustice and inequality has  infected the nation, can a such country be safeguarded and protected by nuclear weapons? Soviet Union was also a nuclear power having twice of war heads as compared to US but what we observed that corruption and corrupt administration disintegrated the world’s 2^nd super power. Some people may take my concerns as conspiracy theory but look at the energy crises, is not this evident that we are being pushed into energy crises so that nation begs for the bread and livelihood surrendering nuclear weapons? The continuous opposition and hurdles in the construction of Kala Bagh Dam is initial form of this.

                From last few years Pakistan is facing critical shortage of energy, industry has been almost shutdown, unemployment has become an uncontrollable problem; the burden of increasing population, the economy of Pakistan seems about to crash. In contrast to this the businesses based upon corruption is growing by leaps and bounds; as a result rich are getting richer and poor getting poorer while the middle class playing the role of link between two extremes of society are disappearing and no one is aware that what would be the result of this. Educated youth is wandering with their degrees while other have been forced to join criminals in order to secure livelihood.

                In this way of we look at the collective economic picture it is much more painful despite of apparent development in the form of shining big cars, latest shopping malls, skyscrapers and abundance of wealth to few families and specific class of society. On the one hand there are elites of the society who are observed wearing three piece suits of waist-coats because they have resources to chill up even in the scorching temperature of June while on the other hand there is public that are facing scorching heat without electricity, neither they can sleep at night nor they can work properly due to shortage of electricity. Modern facilities have replaced hand pumps in cities resultantly during loadshedding people are unable to access water as well. In spite of shutdown and non-supply of electricity the bills have increased manifolds. In order to tackle inflation our rulers have only lolly-pop of increasing salaries of civil/state servants while in order to pay these salaries new taxes are imposed on necessities of life creating an artificial cycle of inflation. Such crises are also faced by other countries as well but in spite of burdening public with these crises rulers of other countries cutdown their own luxury expenses or impose emergency first of all on state machinery/expenses but here only public has been chosen for sacrifice so that luxurious expenditures of elite class could be met.

                Have this crises been created within few years or it has emerged suddenly just like as tornedo? No, not all! If we look back this is the story of half century. This was the time of Ayub Khan when the foundation of industry was laid; Mangla and Tarbela dam were constructed in order to fulfill agricultural and industrial requirements. 8 big canals were constructed, 5 barrages were constructed on Indus river. This alerted enemies; Ayub Khan was thrown out of power. As per scheduled plans when the time for construction of Kala Bagh dam came hurdles were created in the construction of this dam in such a way that in spite of availability of rivers we have been unable to get cheap electricity from hydro projects. Afterwards Proud of Asia Mr Zulifqar Ali Bhutto who came into power through public destroyed national economy by nationalizing industrial units but ignored energy demands of country by leaving Kala Bagh Dam incomplete. If this project had been completed to get electricity from water than we would have been economically strongest country of the region.

                Who are those elements creating hurdles in the construction of Kala Bagh Dam, who are those hidden hands that are forcing Pakistan to get energy from costly thermal power stations (gas/oil) which is neither affordable by households nor by industrial units as their cost of manufacturing increases due to costly energy so our products cannot compete in the international market. As long as agriculture is concerned we are all aware that fertility of lands is connected with availability of water. There are two ways of acquiring water for agriculture, either by pumping under ground water (limited basis) or by storing river water and supplying it to the agricultural lands through canals. But here in Pakistan farmer is unable to get water through both means; electricity and oil for pumping out underground water (constant pumping out of underground has decreased its level to significant lowest level) is not affordable due to cost while on the other hand India has aggressively started construction of dams over Pakistani rivers already stealing a significant portion of our water; our rulers are criminally silent over this in the name of friendly relation with India. In such situation if agricultural lands become barren which seems to be inevitable if we did not construct new dams how longer our already destroyed industry would be able to feed 18 to 20 million people? Not only Punjab but Sindh would be effected due to this shortage of water. So called Sindhi nationalist opposing Kala Bagh dam by calling it as dam for Punjab have never dared to condemn the aggressive water stealing of Pakistani rivers by India (in order to secure their payments) while Kala Bagh dam would not only provide cheap electricity but also a defense line against floods. Now the condition of an agricultural country is that we are being forced to import vegetables from India; no doubt the traitors within us want that our lands become barren like Somalia and Pakistan appeals to surrender to India.

                If we look at those elements opposing Kala Bagh dam they have many similar features for example threatening disintegration of Pakistan or separation even on insignificant matters, inflaming provincial disputes and blaming Punjab, blaming and spreading hatred against Pakistan army, opposing Kala Bagh dam without any solid technical reasoning and threatening to disintegrate Pakistan and criminal silence over massacre of innocent Kashmiris in Indian Held Kashmir etc.

                Now another party has also joined hands with opposers of Kala Bagh Dam, they do not want Pakistani nation gets cheap hydro energy; they are IPPs, private electricity producing units or companies, they are exploiting shortage of electricity to receive undue prices of the electricity generated by them, Rental Power Project is also a part of them. They are trying to convince public that electricity is a luxury that should be available to those who can avail it, and yes those who can afford it are availing it 24 hours. Those IPPs and manufacturers of generators earning extra profits will never like that Kala Bagh Dam is constructed…
